Nation’s Top Climate Advocacy Group Endorses Greg Stanton for Re-Election
Recognizing Stanton as a ‘Climate Champion,’ LCV Action Fund Pledges Support ‘All the Way’ to Victory
November 5, 2025

MESA, AZ — Greg Stanton for Congress today announced a key endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund (LCVAF), the political arm of the nation’s top climate advocacy group representing millions of pro-climate, pro-democracy advocates. Recognizing Stanton as a “climate champion” in Congress, the group pledged its support and resources “all the way” to victory in 2026. In 2024, LCVAF and its affiliates invested $2.8 million alone in Arizona’s Senate race, opening three field offices and knocking on nearly half a million doors.
“We need to elect a majority in Congress next November that will stand up for our democracy and invest in affordable clean energy to bring down energy costs for everyone, protect our air, water and public lands, and stop Trump from continuing to give away handouts to his Big Polluter and corporate billionaire friends,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “LCV Action Fund is with Rep. Greg Stanton and our endorsed climate champions all the way to help them win and flip the House in 2026.”
A former two-term Phoenix mayor who now represents the East Valley in Congress, Stanton has made Arizona a national model for clean energy innovation—helping attract new solar and semiconductor manufacturing jobs, expand drought resilience projects, and strengthen federal investments in renewable infrastructure. He’s been a driving force behind policies that lower costs for working families, create good-paying jobs, and hold corporate polluters accountable while leading the fight to secure Arizona’s water and energy future.
“We’re proud of our strong partnership with LCV and its network of passionate pro-climate voters across Arizona,” said campaign spokesperson Cameron Adams. “While congressional Republicans hand out favors to corporate polluters and auction off public lands, Greg is protecting Arizona’s natural resources, cutting costs, creating jobs, and driving our clean energy future. That’s the kind of results-focused leadership Arizonans expect and Greg delivers.”
Throughout his time in public service, Stanton has delivered results to make Arizona more resilient to drought, heat, and climate change. He helped pass the Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan, secured billions for western water projects, and created Arizona’s first Environmental Infrastructure Authority to modernize local systems and restore river corridors. He’s delivered direct investments to Tempe, Chandler, and Mesa for water recycling, smart meters, and drought-ready infrastructure—and he’s now leading the push in Congress to recognize extreme heat as a national emergency and expand FEMA programs to better protect Arizona families.
“From the Colorado River Basin to solar manufacturing plants rising in the desert, Greg Stanton’s leadership has transformed Arizona into a proving ground for the clean energy economy where innovation, conservation, and economic growth work in tandem,” said Adams. “Greg’s record makes clear that he isn’t just fighting for Arizona’s future, he’s building it.”

About Greg Stanton
Greg Stanton is a husband, father, and former two-term mayor of Phoenix who has represented Arizona’s East Valley in Congress since 2019. In Congress, he’s brought both Republicans and Democratic together to deliver real results for Arizona by lowering costs, strengthening the middle class, and building the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable future. Now he’s running to protect that progress as President Trump and MAGA extremists spread chaos, corruption, and economic damage that hurt Arizona families. In his role as Chair of the New Dem Action Fund, Stanton is helping to lead his party’s fight to win back Congress, defeat MAGA extremism, and restore responsible governing that grows the middle class and holds the president accountable.
