MESA, AZ —  Greg Stanton for Congress today announced a new wave of major labor endorsements as UA Local 469 Plumbers and Pipefitters, the Arizona State Association of Letter Carriers, the Teamsters Local 104, and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) Local 99 formally endorsed Congressman Greg Stanton for re-election. The endorsements build on Ironworkers Local 75’s backing of Stanton earlier this cycle and follow Stanton being named the Arizona AFL-CIO’s 2025 Elected Official of the Year for his longstanding partnership with and work on behalf of Arizona’s working families.

Teamsters Local 104 said, “Congressman Greg Stanton has proven that he doesn’t just talk about supporting labor, he shows up and delivers. From his unwavering support for the Butch Lewis Act to his commitment to modernizing Arizona’s infrastructure, Greg understands that the middle class is built on the backs of union workers. He has been a steadfast partner to Teamsters Local 104, consistently fighting for the fair wages, workplace safety, and the retirement security our members have earned. We know that with Greg Stanton in Washington, the working men and women of Arizona have a champion who truly has our backs. Teamsters Local 104 is proud to stand with Greg Stanton.”

UFCW Local 99 President Jim McLaughlin said, “Congressman Greg Stanton is a principled, people-focused leader who has spent his career in elected leadership standing up for everyday Arizonans. Since joining Congress, Stanton has fought to strengthen our right to organize unions, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and invest billions of dollars right here in Arizona to build an economy where everyday families can live and work with dignity. On behalf of our 25,000 union members across Arizona and the Southwest, we are proud to support his campaign for re-election.”

The Arizona State Association of Letter Carriers said, “The Arizona State Association of Letter Carriers is proud to endorse Greg Stanton for re-election in Arizona Congressional District 4. Representative Stanton has proven his commitment to protecting the working class and supporting labor over his decades of service. He has walked our rallies, supported our legislation, listened to our members’ issues and taken meaningful action on them. He remains the strong advocate for organized labor we need.”

The UA Local 469 Plumbers and Pipefitters said, “The UA Local 469 Plumbers and Pipefitters are dedicated to making Arizona a better place for union workers and members of the UA Local 469. It is why we choose to support elected leaders like Rep. Greg Stanton. The UA Local 469 knows that when the opportunity arises for leaders to meet the moment, Rep. Stanton has shown his dedication to Union Workers here in Arizona. We continue to endorse Greg for Congressional District 4 and look forward to the continued partnership.”

The Stanton campaign said it was proud to have earned the endorsements from these unions, which collectively represent tens of thousands of Arizona workers across the building trades, mail delivery, transportation and warehousing, and food and retail sectors.

“Greg has built his career fighting for the people who punch a clock, raise families, and keep our communities running, and so we are proud to have earned these endorsements,” said campaign spokesperson Cameron Adams. “While MAGA extremists undermine worker protections and create economic chaos, Greg is focused on lowering costs, strengthening unions, and making sure Arizona workers are paid fair wages and treated with dignity and respect.”

In Congress, Stanton is a cosponsor of the PRO Act, historic legislation that strengthens American workers’ ability to organize and collectively bargain. He has also helped deliver billions of dollars in infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy investments that are creating good-paying union jobs across Arizona. As the only Arizonan on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, he helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, unlocking major investments in highways, bridges, transit, and airports. He also helped pass the CHIPS and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, helping secure historic semiconductor and clean energy investments that are fueling job growth across the state.
